About Bluedoor Antiques and Elements
Description of our business, hours of operation, contact information
Within these virtual walls lies a visual treasure trove that expresses our not-so-classic takes on vintage modern–where boho-chic meets Gothic grunge. But we just call them cool.
Bluedoor has many faces. We live in a world of many options. We’re perfectly okay with the fact that things aren’t always quite perfect (which is often how we prefer them). We’re all about mixing it up and not always expecting things to turn out the way we thought or expected them to. And we embrace the occasional slight timeworn imperfections that make each of our pieces unique. Some say it’s a matter of perspective. We call it character.
A hard-working primitive factory workbench, which we assumed would make a splendid kitchen island, surprised us when cleverly reborn as a lavatory sink – and just as imperfectly when paired with a European crystal chandelier.
We were tickled to learn that a splash of Pepto Bismal pink, in small doses, is a colorful cure for a blah room; that salmon is a fresh color treatment for a dining room server — and not just for dinner anymore; and that aqua really is quite fabulous when used tastefully. And we’re perfectly fine knowing that the façade from a post-Civil War building in Wheeling, West Virginia will probably spend its next life as part of a commercial interior renovation and not as an exterior façade at all.
We love what we do and we take great delight in sharing. We hope you too will find great delight in our updated cast-offs and venerable vintage finds as you browse through our website. We’ll be continuously updating and adding to this website and showroom so please check back often. In the meantime, we welcome your inquiries at firstname.lastname@example.org.
